ABOUT US

We are Koblenz

Koblenz is an International manufacturer of domestic and industrial floor care products, Voltage Regulators, Battery Backups and Washers. The company was founded on July 15, 1959 as a manufacturer of Voltage Regulators, Motors and Pumps. During the 1960´s the company added Vacuum Cleaners and Shampoo/Polishers to its product line.

Begining

In 1961 Koblenz developed its first Vacuum Cleaner, with an all-metal chassis and a single stage motor. The introduction of this Vacuum Cleaner in foreign markets was a success due to the ruggedness and durability of the product design. In 1968 Koblenz introduced the first line of Rug Shampooers and Floor Polishers. In 1972 the company started manufacturing Washing Machines. In 1998 the company introduced a Total Floor Care System to satisfy the everyday needs of consumers worldwide.

WORLDWIDE

Koblenz currently exports product to over 27 countries throughout mainly Europe, North America, Central and South America and Middle East.

It is always important for a company to find ways of diversifying its customer base. Exporting not only allows increased sales but also provides key information about global trends and industry direction. The exclusive distributor for Koblenz products in Mexico is Lienz , S.A. de C.V. Lienz markets industrial equipment, chemicals and accessories nationwide and is the largest importer and distributor of janitorial supplies in the country of Mexico.

Research

Research and development, including manufacturing engineering, is carried out by a group of over 100 engineers and technicians located in the main plant.

Engineers, researchers, designers and other specialists, including a staff of industrial design consultants in Chicago and New York, seek not only to improve manufacturing techniques, methods and products used today, but look ahead to the future with the goal of ensuring new and better products.

Quality

Quality has to be designed into the product from its conception. The proper raw materials and design parameters are fundamental. Basic engineering development has to be done working hand in hand with manufacturing and engineering. Koblenz spends over 3 million dollars a year to improve tooling and machinery. Quality comes from high speed automatic machines where tolerances are controlled, in many cases, by computers. Human error is reduced to a minimum by building the specifications into the automatic processes. An uncompromising commitment to quality and customer satisfaction is our goal. Koblenz has been awarded ISO 9001-2008 certification.
